
LUCELEC Continues Meter Replacement Programme
Castries, May 13, 2026 – St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) is advising customers in Castries East and Gros-Islet of continued meter replacement works scheduled from Thursday, May 14 to Monday, May 25, 2026.
The exercise forms part of a meter replacement programme initiated in 2025 and reflects LUCELEC’s ongoing commitment to providing a safe, reliable, and efficient electricity service. It will upgrade the Company’s metering infrastructure, support improved performance, and ensure continued compliance with industry quality and safety standards.
The new meters will maintain the accuracy of customer usage readings and contribute to the company’s enhanced customer service experience.
The replacement process will be carried out at no cost to customers. LUCELEC technicians will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience during the installation.
What Customers Can Expect:
- Meter replacements will take place between May 14 and May 25, 2026.
- Customers will be notified by LUCELEC at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled replacement.
- On the scheduled day, uniformed LUCELEC technicians clearly identified with official company credentials will conduct the work.
- In most instances, the replacement process will be completed within 30 minutes.
