Castries, November 6, 2022 - St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) crews are working to restore service to a number of customers following a trough system on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

The Union substation was automatically interrupted at 2:09 p.m. resulting in loss of service to a number of areas including Union, Union Orchard to Babonneau, Monchy, Corinth, Vide Bouteille, Sunny Acres, Cacao, Forestierre, Marisule, Bois d’Orange, Grande-Riviere, Monier, Trouya and East Winds.

Supply Chain Challenges Delaying Streetlight Repairs And Replacements

Castries, June 2, 2022St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) says supply chain challenges are delaying a long outstanding order for new streetlights and associated spare parts.  The power company is still awaiting delivery of an order placed in December last year, originally scheduled for delivery at the end of March. The supplier has since shifted that delivery date to late June into July this year.
