Operation Shoebox Continues With More Supplies For Needy Children

Operation Shoebox, an initiative by staff of the St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) continues this year to the benefit of more students and schools.

This is the second year of Operation Shoebox, where LUCELEC employees donate school supplies for distribution to schools around the island.

Sherry Etienne, Bernard Serieux, Germaine Andrew, Mitchell Augustin and Karan Montoute are the St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) Employees of the Second Quarter.

This is the first time Bernard Serieux has won the Employee of the Quarter Award. A LUCELEC employee for the past fifteen (15) years, Bernard Serieux has previously received awards for “Long Service” and “Safety”.

The LUCELEC Electronics Workshop at SALCC Officially Opened

The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) has a new, well equipped electronics workshop. The new workshop, funded by the LUCELEC Trust, was officially opened on August 27, 2015.

The facility will allow the College to introduce more specialized and a wider range of courses in Electronics and Electrical Technology including Video, Audio, Lighting, Security Surveillance and Instrumentation. It will also allow the College to accept more students into the programme.
