LUCELEC Funds Expansion And Volunteers At TVET School Kitchen Garden

Castries, August 14, 2025In a vibrant show of community spirit and corporate responsibility, employees from the St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) joined forces with the Stanley Jon Odlum School of Arts, Media and Design (TVET Institute) to expand the school’s kitchen garden.  The initiative was supported by other corporate partners including members of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.

Castries, November 13, 2024 – An African Proverb says, “To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together” - a fitting way to encapsulate a tree planting initiative between the St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) the Ministry of Agriculture, Caribbean Youth Environment Network (CYEN) and the Academy Adventure Plus Environmental Club of the Saint Lucia Sports Academy.

LUCELEC Continues Investment In At Risk Male Youth

Castries, March 12, 2020 He was told not to return to the Centre for Adolescent Renewal and Education (CARE) where he had been attending school. Always angry, he was defiant and openly disrespectful. Those choices almost got him kicked out of the “Our Boys Matter” programme. But then, one more chance was offered through an apprenticeship at a garage. It capitalized on his interest in auto mechanics. The intervention recipe was completed with a mentor he chose; one committed to his success. Today, he’s been offered a job at the garage.
