Castries, January 30, 2026Multiple stakeholders from across Saint Lucia’s energy landscape convened at the Harbor Club from January 19 to 23, 2026, for a national workshop hosted by St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) and consultants ESB International. The gathering marked a significant step in developing the country’s Integrated Resource and Resilience Plan (IRRP), a long‑term blueprint to guide the future of the island’s electricity sector in keeping with the new draft Electricity Act.

Castries, August 27, 2025 – Residents and visitors still have time to experience the vibrant glow of the Emancipation Murals on Jn Baptiste Street in Castries, now illuminated nightly as part of the Cultural Development Foundation’s (CDF) observance of Emancipation Month.

The lighting of the murals was made possible through a collaborative effort between St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) and energy services company Energyze Holdings Inc (EHI). The project also included the relocation of an electrical pole to facilitate the installation.

LUCELEC Begins Cabling Work For Solar Farm Battery Storage

Castries, November 6, 2020St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) is currently undertaking cabling works for the addition of battery storage to its 3MW solar farm at La Tourney, Vieux Fort.  The works began in October and will go on until December this year. LUCELEC says the work will involve excavation of the road surfaces at La Tourney, Dierre Morne, La Resource, the St Jude’s Highway and Cantonement in Vieux-Fort.
