Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) is a Gold Sponsor of the seven member Saint Lucia Team that will leave the island on Friday June 27, 2014 to compete in the regional “Taste of the Caribbean Culinary Competition”.

Saint Lucia’s Culinary Team is led by Chef Elijah Jules and includes Refer Leonce, Martha Hippolyte, Peter Lawrence, Caron Jean, Sharma Peter and Bartender Alva Preville.

The food maestros represent a number of hotels across the island and were chosen from national competitions held on Wednesday April 2, 2014 among twelve (12) chefs.

Staff members from Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) will participate in the Ministry of Education’s ‘Reading Month of May’ under the theme, “Literacies for the 21st Century; Inventing Our Future”.

Three employees and one former employee of Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) have received close to $16,000 in donations from staff and the electricity company.

The four were severely affected by the Christmas Eve Trough that passed over the country in 2013. One of the afflicted lost his son when the vehicle he was driving plunged into a precipice that formed after the Desruisseaux road collapsed.
