St Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) launched its eighteenth annual Health, Safety, Environment & Fire Awareness Month on Monday March 3, 2014 under the theme, “Value your Health and Safety – Live Happier and Longer.”

As part of observances, a series of activities to be hosted at all LUCELEC administrative offices have been planned throughout the month of March. They will cover a myriad of topics ranging from mental and financial health to wellness and good eating practices.

Dona Emmanuel of the Planning Department is the St Lucia Electricity Services Ltd (LUCELEC) 2013 Employee of the Year. Emmanuel, who joined the company in 1997, has been employed at LUCELEC for the past 17 years and was also recognized for Perfect Attendance and Employee of the Fourth Quarter.

Saint Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) will host its annual Staff Appreciation Awards on Friday February 21, 2014 under the theme, “50 Years of Powering Lives, Dreams and Communities…50 Years of Powering the Nations Success.”

A record number of awards are expected to be handed out in various categories including 58 Perfect Attendance and 7 Employee of the Fourth Quarter awards. In addition, 40 employees will be recognized for Length of Service and 4 retirees will receive the Retirees Award.
