LUCELEC Deploys To Jamaica To Support Hurricane Melissa Recovery

Castries, November 11, 2025In a powerful display of regional solidarity, St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) has dispatched a skilled team to Jamaica to assist with power restoration efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The six-member delegation, comprising four LUCELEC team members and two contractors, departed Saint Lucia on Tuesday, November 4.

Castries, October 10, 2025 – St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) wishes to advise the motoring public and residents of Soufriere of maintenance works at Soufriere near Courts Saint Lucia, Bank of Saint Lucia and Big Yard restaurant, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. These works will allow LUCELEC to undertake pole and line maintenance.

There will be no interruption of electrical service during the maintenance. The sidewalks, however, in these affected areas will be blocked and intermittent traffic disruptions are expected.

Castries, September 15, 2025 – St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) will commence the third and final phase of its Meter Replacement Programme on Wednesday, September 17 continuing through Saturday, September 27, 2025. The initiative forms part of LUCELEC’s ongoing commitment to deliver a safe, reliable, and efficient electricity service.

The final phase will upgrade LUCELEC’s metering infrastructure, ensure continued compliance with the highest industry standards for quality and safety.
